ABOUT YOUR RIGGING OR TOW STRAP
Note - C4RS groups rigging and tow straps together due to their almost identical construction, including materials, and also due to tow straps being multi purpose and sometimes used as rigging straps. Rigging straps can be used as short tow extensions but this practice is less common.
C4RS sells several rigging and tow straps which are detailed below. Reference the info tag on your strap for various loading configurations. Loading/use configuration will impact distribution of loading across the strap and therefore strengths will vary from those listed below.

RIGGING AND TOW STRAP USE INFORMATION
Each rigging and tow strap is 100% manufactured in the USA of nylon to provide for low/moderate stretch during tow and rigging, and comes with Cordura abrasion guard on both the eyes as well as on the inner body of rigging straps.
Before using a C4RS rigging or two strap inspect the strap for any wear that requires the strap to be retired. Such wear can include any cuts to the webbing, burns, contamination from fluids, wear areas, or broken stitching.
When using a rigging or tow strap, always ensure each end of the strap is securely and appropriately attached. When straps are used in a towing configuration, towing should be static. Do not shock load the strap as its material of construction is not high stretch. When using as a rigging strap always put the Cordura lined side of the strap against any anchor point to protect against cuts and abrasion. The rounder and smoother the anchor point, the less wear on the strap during recoveries. Most anchor points are not smooth, so the Cordura on the inside of the strap helps to reduce abrasion, but still take care to mitigate any anchors that are not smooth.
- Rigging and tow straps should be used on as smooth & round surfaces as possible.
- Do not place rigging or tow straps around sharp or angular objects.
- Not for lifting use or use during any life saving operations.
- Do not exceed the WLL.

WHEN TO REPLACE A RIGGING OR TOW STRAP
Discard the strap if it becomes contaminated with a chemical, overly frayed, knotted, partially cut, the edge is nicked, any stitching becomes compromised, or any of the 3 internal red wear strings become visable.
