Cool! You bought a static bridle and
want to learn more. Here's more!
ABOUT YOUR STATIC BRIDLE
Please reference your tag to learn about your static bridle's diameter and use the below chart to learn about strength and WLL of your static bridle. Be careful to note that the chart below only shows straight pull strength. Bridle strength can up to double the capacity of the bridle BUT rigging configuration can impact strength greatly.

STATIC BRIDLE USE INFORMATION
Each static bridle comes with a section of loose fit abrasion guard that can be removed and easily replaced if worn. These are available through C4RS or your local dealer. Use of the abrasion guards helps prevent damage to the static bridle.
One end of the static bridle has an eye splice at the end which must be securely fastened to the anchor points on your frame. The static bridle also comes with a section of loose fit abrasion guard which if pulling with a winch block should be removed to allow ease of travel for the block.
Actual strength of the static bridle will vary depending on rigging configuration. Proper configuration can give almost double strength, where as improper configuration can actually decrease strength from the straight line pull numbers. Our static bridles are 10' long which should give you enough length to rig the bridle and achieve proper angles. Please seek instruction if needed.
When a static bridle is loaded the Amsteel Blue® material may become stiff, flatten and appear glossy at the point where the winch block or other device was in contact with attachment points. This is allowable as long as the static bridle is not damaged and the small individual ‘hair’ fibers can be separated. See information below about when to replace a static bridle.
Not for lifting use or use during any life saving operations.
- The manufacturer of the base material advises not to use the base material for dynamic (snatch) recoveries or applications.
- Do not exceed the strength of the static bridle.

WHEN TO REPLACE A STATIC BRIDLE
Discard the static bridle if it becomes contaminated with a chemical, overly frayed, knotted, one of the 12 strands of the base material is cut or anything occurs which could weaken the strength of the static bridle. Contact C4RS or your local approved dealer with questions. When in doubt discontinue use of this or any vehicle recovery device and contact C4RS or your local dealer.
